The Roskruge Cougar Classic Basketball Tournament will be celebrating its 26th Anniversary in February of 2008. The Tournament includes 4th, 5th and 6th grade students from elementary and middle schools all over Tucson.

The mission of the Cougar Classic is to provide a quality event with the best facilities and experienced high school and college referees in a safe atmosphere of good sportsmanship.

The teams playing in this tournament are organized primarily by teacher and parent volunteers. Tournament expenses are paid for by team entry fees.
This year we are defraying some of the expense of the Cougar Classic with a 26th Anniversary Commemorative Program. Our goal is to raise enough money to reduce or eliminate the team entry fees for the tournament.

The event began back in 1982 with just three schools playing on the cement courts of Roskruge School. Since then the Cougar Classic has grown into an exciting three week tournament with nearly 500 young student athletes playing in four divisions.
